Mindfulness in the Gardens

  • Harry P. Leu Gardens 1920 North Forest Avenue Orlando, FL, 32803 United States (map)

Feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed? Want to connect with nature in a deeper way? Mindfulness classes in the Gardens is just what you need. Check out of the busy world for a bit and reconnect with yourself through nature. This class will enable you to practice being in the present moment, letting go of the past as well as the fear of what’s ahead, bringing relaxation and gratitude. Here there are no goals or expectations, just being as you are. Practicing mindfulness, especially outside with nature, can improve your mood, sleep, and concentration. It also decreases stress levels, blood pressure, and heart rate, as well as increases immunity and creativity.

In this mindfulness class we will start with a guided mindful meditation amongst the trees, relaxing our bodies and reawakening our senses through nature. After, we will venture out into the gardens and personally connect with nature through invitations or prompts given by your guide. To conclude, we will hold space to share any insights or feelings we may have experienced over a cup of tea or water. Sharing is totally optional.

Natalie Padavano: Peace, Love & Trees everyone. I am Natalie Padavano, your mindfulness guide. A lover of the outdoors, animals and hiking. I am a certified Forest Therapy Guide, certified Life and Happiness Coach, and certified Laughter Yoga Leader. I am also a Registered Nurse who worked in the emergency room for many years. I learned the effects stress has on the body firsthand. Stress is the leading contributor to many well-known illnesses such as heart disease, cancer, anxiety, depression, and so much more. I strongly believe that for a person to lead a healthy and balanced life, it is essential to address the needs of the mind, body, and soul collectively. Through my own healing journey, I found practicing mindfulness with nature as a huge contributor to the joy and gratitude I currently experience in my life, and I am passionate about sharing this with others.
